🧾 Job Summary

The Procurement Officer is responsible for managing procurement activities for drilling operations, including tendering, contract administration, logistics coordination, and supplier performance management. The role ensures cost-effective purchasing while maintaining compliance with company policies and HSE standards.

🔑 Major Responsibilities

🛒 Procurement & Contract Management

  • Manage tendering process and prepare bidder lists
  • Issue RFQs and evaluate bids
  • Negotiate prices, delivery terms, and award purchase orders
  • Administer contracts for materials and services
  • Procure long-lead materials and manage supply records
  • Maintain purchase order documentation and close-out files

📊 Reporting & SAP System

  • Record all transactions accurately in SAP
  • Update Procurement Status Reports (PSR)
  • Prepare procurement reports and cost allocations
  • Ensure proper documentation for all procurement activities

🚚 Logistics Management

  • Coordinate transportation of materials, equipment, and personnel
  • Monitor shipments and resolve delivery issues
  • Support efficient logistics planning with internal teams

🤝 Supplier & Stakeholder Management

  • Evaluate supplier performance and provide feedback
  • Develop local vendors and conduct due diligence
  • Resolve supplier issues (over/short/damage reports)
  • Support invoice query resolution
  • Communicate with internal departments and contractors

🛡️ HSE & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with HSE policies and regulations
  • Conduct risk assessments for procurement activities
  • Participate in HSE audits and corrective actions
  • Promote safe and responsible supplier practices
  • Support emergency response readiness

🎓 Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or MBA (preferred)
  • 5–10 years of procurement experience in Oil & Gas
  • Strong experience in SAP (preferred)
