Accounts Payable Accountant

Location : Erbil - Iraq



Ezma Holding is looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable Accountant to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in managing supplier invoices, payments, and reconciliations within a trading company using an ERP system.



Key Responsibilities

·        Process supplier invoices in the ERP system

·        Match invoices with purchase orders and goods receipt documents

·        Verify accuracy of pricing, quantities, and approvals before posting

·        Record accounting entries related to Accounts Payable transactions in the ERP

·        Maintain supplier accounts and ensure proper coding to the general ledger

·        Prepare and post journal entries related to accruals and adjustments

·        Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner

·        Prepare supplier payment runs in line with payment terms and cash flow plans

·        Monitor and follow up on outstanding supplier balances

·        Support month-end closing activities including AP reconciliations and reports

·        Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and audit requirements

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

2–4 years of Accounts Payable experience in trading or distribution companies

·        Practical experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Odoo, or similar)

Good understanding of accounting principles and general ledger processes

Strong Excel skills

High attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to manage high-volume transactions in a fast-paced environment
